Impressions of Mondubim Brasil
  • Here for Easter they dont do easter egg hunts but every single church will do a play for the life of jesus christ, so its pretty cool to see and hear of all the diferent plays.
  • Our church even did one here in Brasil and it was very popular! we brought investigators all the way from mondubim to the center of Fortaleza to watch it! it was in a theater called Teatro "jose de alancar" called "Jesus o Cristo" look it up our church performs there.

57th Week Out, Week 5 Mondubim "Baptized a Special Family"

Dear family and friends this week was a special week as we married and baptized a family. So if you didn't now you have to be married legally(you can't just be living together) before you are baptized. This week we received permission to go with Sonia and Marcos to their marriage legally. we had to leave our mission boundaries, we went to the center of Fortaleza which is right next to the beach! anyways we took the metro from Mondubim all the way there! its fast you have to hold on! I mean the onibuses here are fast I´ve already fell on people inside the bus because they drive like mad men but man this metro is fast! So after Sonia and Marcos were married legally we came back to Mondubim and we had their Baptisimal service! and Friday we had a party for them! Man it was such a wonderful experience to see this family get baptized, their son; Hudson who is 14 was baptized 2 months ago but know their whole family is baptized and the next step will be heading to the temple! I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because here families truly can live together FOREVER. I know if anything were to happen to me or one of my family members that I will see them again 1 day! and this is an ordinance only possible in the temple. I love you all and thank you for all your love and support!

56th Week Out, Week 4 Mondubim "Enjoying the Work of Teaching The Gospel"

Soooooooo apparently my email did not send this week so I will be sending my last week this week together (if that made sense) anyways this week was super great we had 2 baptisms 1 was for a man named Renan he is 24 years, and another was for Jonas who is 16 years old. Marcos who was baptized last week received the Priesthood this Sunday and baptized Renan (they are friends) and I baptized Jonas. we also had a family come back to church this week who hadn't been to church in 10 years! Oh how this gospel is so wonderful, I don't even know how to explain my joy anymore because I can't express it in words. I just know that I'm in the right place and I get to be an instrument in the lords hands. This IS the church of Jesus Christ! I KNOW it, I LIVE it, and I LOVE it. I love you all and thank you for all your love and support!

55th Week Out, Week 3 Mondubim "My Whole New District Baptized"

Dear family and Friends Finally all my hard work payed off this week and we were blessed with a baptism. A kid named Wallison he is 13. We have been teaching him for the last 3 weeks. Sunday morning of his baptism I thought it wasn't even going to happen; 8:00a.m. we stopped by his house to wake him up (church starts at 9 here and the sacramental is first) and we told he we would come back in 30 minutes to get him and his family. So 30 minutes later we get there and his mom wasn't there, he hadn't eaten anything yet and said he wouldn't go without eating anything and we were waiting and waiting and 9:50 came and we had to go, and he said he would wait for his mom and then be right behind us. I'm not going to lie I thought he was lying, because everyone always has an excuse why they cant go to church. We got to church and we were sitting in sacrament meeting and i didn't believe my eyes when I saw Wallsion and his family walking in behind him, we want to baptise him family to but his parents aren't married legally
(which happens ALOT in this area) This week my WHOLE district baptized! WOOHOO!  I wish I could send pictures but as my brother says "this computer will eat my photos" I love you all and thank you for all your love and support!
